Adaptors for Canon XHG1

I have been uploading videos to my mac quite easily with an adaptor Model 1463 EMC 2591 this works well with my MacBook pro with the side connections. The camera I have is an old Canon XHG1.

I now have a Mac M1 21'' that uses Thunderbolt 4 ports. I have tried apple and the lady did not seem to understand what I needed. Does any know of an adaptor for the Thunderbolt 4 USB.A part number would be helpful at least I could order it for someone.

In principle you would just need one more adapter, plug this new one to your mac, and plug your existing adapter into the new one.

Thanks for that reply. I have now received the new adaptor and am working on the iMac once again. My first visit to Apple was not very helpful, but I'm not surprised by all the different plugs.
