HR Block 2022 printing problem

HR Block 2022 seems to have a problem with printing on a Mac running MacOS 12. The print is expanded so that only the top left corner appears on the page. This occurs whether printing directly or to PDF. It also happens when opening earlier years which worked properly on earlier MacOS versions. I located a thread in the Apple Community from last year when someone reported that this started with 12.3.

HR Block support does not have a solution. The best one so far is to delete your printer, then save to PDF from the HR Block application (which sizes correctly when there is no print driver), then reinstall your printer and print the PDF.

Is there a more permanent solution?

Are you able to print normally from other apps on your Mac?

Try to print from another app

- Try printing from another app, such as TextEdit. If the problem occurs only in one app, review that app’s documentation for further troubleshooting information.

Thank you for the suggestions.

printing is normal on all other applications. Resetting does not help.

HR Block responded that it is a “ known issue” although not listed on their website.

For the record, I have all latest MacOS, printer drivers and HRBlock updates.

If HP communicated that this is a known issue, we suggest you continue to work with them regarding this. It sounds like they are aware of this and may be working on the issue.
