Apple Watch 8 emergency call

Hi

sorry if this is a really stupid question but do I need to add the number for my local emergency services ie 999 in Uk to the Watch or will it automatically know to call that number in the event of an emergency

I can’t work out whether I need to add anything other than personal contact numbers, say my wife for example, to the emergency contact numbers section
