Flash SMS phishing messages

For the past week I’ve been bombarded by Flash SMS messages that are obvious phishing scams and I can’t seem to figure out how to turn these messages off. I know flash SMS is supposed to be used for emergency notifications such as bad weather and Amber alerts, but if scammers are using this method to harass and scam people then I need to turn it off. Google repeatedly comes up with a non-solution that says to go to “Settings->Cellular->SIM Applications….” Problem is my iPhone 12 Pro Max doesn’t have a “SIM Applications” option.

Does anyone know how to turn of Flash SMS texts or the scam texts?

Report them to your cellular carrier.
