Spammers fake the sending numbers, so number blocks are less than useful.
I have unknown message senders muted and sorted into their own bucket.
You can ask your carrier for options they might offer, as well.
An app such as Bouncer might interest.
Contact your cell provider. SMS is a service they provide and deliver the SPAM to your phone. Many of the cell providers do have SPAM blocking services, and many times that are free and other times they have an upgraded paid version. That is the best place to block the messages from even getting to your phone.
