homepod mini skips

We're having problems with my kid's Homepod Mini.

It's doing the following:

stops playing in the middle of a song.
Won't play every song in a playlist.
If it DOES finish a playlist it just stops. No song plays

I checked on the wi-fi and that's good.

Not seeing any firmware updates.

How do I fix this?

HomePod cutting off songs and rebeginning follow song This problems happened with HomePosOS 18. When I use my iPhone to let my HomePod (first gen) Stereo pair play an album unregularly the song stops a few seconds before it was ended, then there is a silcence for about 2 seconds, then the next song begins for about 1 second, it stops for 1 second and then it begins again and continues playing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I hope it was fixed with HomePodOS 18.1 but it is not.

Checking the wifi would require rebooting it. Speed or working good on other devices has no bearing.

try rebooting the wifi and unplugging or restarting HomePod.
