We appreciate you clarifying this for us, CMon17,

If you sign into your Google account via a web browser, are you able to see the complete contact information there?

Do you have Google set as your Default Account in Settings > Contacts > Default Account?

This is also a handy resource to help you to manage your Contacts: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Choose a default account to add new contacts

If you set up multiple accounts in the Contacts app, you can choose a default account to add new contacts to:

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Default Account.
  2. Choose an account."

If you're seeing that contact information is missing when you sign into your account via a web browser, you may consider contacting Google directly to take a look at your account with you.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hi CMon17,

We'd like to help you find the best solution with your contacts. This would start off by isolating the issue. This can be done with figuring out if there is a communication issue between Gmail and your device or Apple. To do this, you can export your contacts and import them into iCloud, and see if this continues. To do this, these articles can help: Export, back up, or restore contacts & Import or export a vCard in Contacts on iCloud.com. Depending on the result, if this is not Apple related you can contact Google for support. If this was isolated to Apple, you can contact Apple Support

Thanks for the Reply, but I've been down this road a bit. Even as simple as adding the phone number to a contact I've been working with and texting for years. Then it looses its name - number connection. It doesn't do this for all records just some, but I've lost some numbers for some contacts I've been in touch with for years. I don't use contacts in google, or the Mac - simply use it on my phone, the only device I use for contacts.

Got it, CMon17,

Have you had a chance to check your accounts via a web browser to verify your contacts are correct?

If you wish to check your iCloud Contacts, you can sign into iCloud on a computer via a web browser here and choose Contacts: iCloud

This will tell us if the incorrect information is associated with your iPhone or your contact accounts.

Kind regards.
