Phone won't ring in hearing aids

I am still learning to use my week old iPhone 14. IOS 16.2 and have paired it successfully with my Oticon More1 hearing aids. However, while I receive phone calls through my hearing aids. I cannot get to hear the rings in my aids first, though I have set the answer timing to 13 seconds. Calls aren't ringing on my phone either, though I'm hearing notification sounds for texts etc. through my aids.

I've looked at all the settings and just can't find out how to do this. Any help will be appreciated. TIA

Not sure if this is related but it's worked for my mother so submitting the recommendation.

Under Settings > Sounds & Haptics > RINGTONE AND ALERT VOLUME: set the ringtone volume to 70% or so (level you can comfortably hear with your hearing aids) and toggle OFF "Change with Buttons". This helps to separate your iphone's audio volume with ringtone and alert (including alarm) volume. (This forces the ringtone to sound both on your phone and your HA--I didn't see your response to only hear the ringtone in your HA only. This helps to keep the alert volume consistent regardless of audio volume setting.)

Also, check and make sure you're not in Silent Mode (the leftside physical toggle button is not red).

Another setting my mom finds helpful is flashing lights (visual cue/alert) when a phone call is coming in.

You can turn this feature on through:

Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > LED Flash for Alerts - toggle ON

You can search for both settings in the Settings search field to get to them quickly.

Yes, all those settings are as you indicated. I also checked Touch/Call audio routing, which was set to Bluetooth headphones (as my HAs are Bluetooth but possibly I have misunderstood). I changed it to Automatic and now both my HAs and phone ring simultaneously. Is it possible to have the ring limited to my HAs only, which is what I used to have on my Android S22, before I recently changed to IOS because of the latter's better HA integration? TIA
