I’m asking this question again since there wasn’t a definitive answer. I recently purchased a set of airpod pro 2’s. They pair with my iPod but I don’t get any sound. I’ve tried deleting and repairing them with the iPod but no luck. They work with all my other apple devices. Any suggestions?

Which version iPod do you have? Based on the AirPod Pro Technical Specifications only one model is compatible.
AirPods Pro (2nd generation) - Technical Specifications

I assume they could still work with older models of iPod but you may need to have the iPods iOS updated.
