I get only audio when I airplay from my iPad to my Vizio Smart TV

I set up airplay to my Visio Smart TV from my iPad, get the code, enter it and the the system buffers then displays a music symbol where the picture should be and the name of the program but only plays audio.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you have some issues with using AirPlay from your iPad to your smart TV. We have some steps to walk through for help with this specific issue. We'll be using tips from this article: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device

First, make sure your VIZIO Tv is listed as a compatible device: AirPlay 2-Enabled TVs and Devices
Next, on your iPad, go to Settings > General > Software Update to confirm the iPadOS is fully updated.
Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Restart both devices and test again.
