Hello, I bought a used iPhone from the us but I’m currently staying in Nigeria and using a Nigerian sim and I can’t use my sim because the last person’s carrier locked the phone, how do I unlock this despite staying in a different country.

But how do i know what the previous carrier is, is it somewhere in the settings?
Settings > Cellular > The carrier is listed here.
If that doesn't work, remove the SIM card, it may have the carrier's name printed on it.
