iOS 16.2 Hearing aid Bluetooth connection issues.

Having had a problem with iOS 16 I updated to 16.2. Prior to this my Signia hearing aids linked via Bluetooth with no problems. Since the update my aids connected for about 30seconds and I could see battery levels etc but then disconnected.

I have tried restarting the phone and deleting the app to start again but now there is no connection between the aids and phone at all. Can anyone help please?

After trying to pair your Signia aids with iOS 16.2 and now they will not pair, you may need to do a "Reset Network Settings". Before doing this procedure you should go to Accessibility, Hearing Devices and do a "Forget this device" so you will be starting fresh. This will clear up any bluetooth issues that are happening. Here is a support document that will help you. Read it carefully before attempting as there are settings in your iPhone you all need to input again.

You are only doing "Reset Network Settings".

I had the same issue. After HOURS on the phone with Apple their recommendation was to do the ‘nuclear’ reset. What I did was rest but backed up from iCloud. Now I figured it wouldn’t work so since I was reloading the old software but it actually fixed (at least for one full day) the issue. I have no idea why it worked. I had already cleared network settings and rebooted and did all the other ‘normal’ stuff. I’d give this a go if I were you. If not iOS 16.2.1 should be out soon and maybe that will clear this up.

I had similar connection problems with iOS 16.2 and ReSound hearing aids.

Managed to solve it by:

  1. "Forget" the hearing aids via the BT connections in the iPhone hearing aids settings
  2. Reboot the iPhone
  3. Re-pair using normal hearing aid pairing procedure

...and I had to do steps 1-3 a couple of times to make the pairing work.
