Safari bookmarks

I just spent 2 hours rearranging my Safari bookmarks in Bookmarks/edit bookmarks, and for no apparent reason, they all switched back to how they were before I started rearranging them! I am so not happy right now. Why would that happen? I did nothing to cause them to do that! There were over 100 bookmarks! All back to the way they were....... I had folders and everything; all are gone now.

Hi badrabbit,

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. Are you using iCloud Bookmarks? If so, you can attempt to restore a previous version. Check this out: If you accidentally deleted your calendars, bookmarks, or contacts from iCloud

Restore your contacts or bookmarks from an earlier version
1. Sign in to iCloud.com.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the window, then select Data Recovery.
3. Select Restore Contacts or Restore Bookmarks.
4. Select Restore next to the date before you deleted the content.
5. Select Restore again to confirm. After the restore completes, you get a notification on iCloud.com and an email at the address on file with your Apple ID.

Following these steps may help to resolve the issue you're facing.

Kind regards.
