Vertical scroll bar disappears

I can't get the vertical scroll bar to stay visible. When I launch Apple Music on Mac mini M1 running Ventura the scroll bar is visible. If I don't immediately click on it and use it the scroll bar will disappear. If I drag the window to resize it the scroll bar reappears. I've tried switching the scroll bar options in settings without success. I'm sure I am missing something somewhere. Thank you in advance.
