macOS Mail does not recognize Photoshop .psd file attachments

This is not a question; just an FYI... In the current macOS Monterey version 12.6.2, the Mail app does not recognize Photoshop .psd files sent as email attachments. Instead of the file name of the attachment displaying as xxxx.psd, a question mark icon appears in its place. When the attachment is clicked on, it does open correctly, however.

On the other hand, in the current iOS version 16.2, the Mail app DOES recognize Photoshop .psd files sent as email attachments, and displays them correctly as xxxx.psd.

So the macOS Mail app needs to be updated to recognize .psd files. I have submitted this bug to Apple Feedback.

You have to email the attachment to someone (or to yourself) to reproduce the problem. When you first attach the .psd file to your email message, it appears correctly. It is when you RECEIVE an email message with a .psd file that it appears as a question mark. This happens whether or not I select 'View as icon', or 'View in place'.

Try emailing the the attachment to yourself, and you'll see what I mean. (Also make sure that you are using the latest macOS Monterey version 12.6.2.
