restoring tabs after updating Mac

I want to update my Mac book since its not connecting to my AirPods anymore. however I have 60 open research tabs that I can not lose. whenever I try to update my Mac book tells me I need to close safari first. if I update, will all. my tabs be gone? if so, is there a way to restore all of them?

It sounds like you have a number of open tabs in Safari and you want to know if they will be available if you close the browser. We can help.


Normally, you can Go back to websites you already visited in Safari on Mac. However, since you are going to update and it will directly impact all built-in apps including Safari, there is a chance that the open tabs might not be recoverable. Instead, you can Bookmark websites that you want to revisit in Safari on Mac to make sure they are saved.
