Help with airpod notifications

I’m getting notifications on my AirPods but it’s way quieter than the volume I’m listening to my AirPods. I mean so quiet I thought my phone was just going silent and possibly disconnecting but when i went somewhere quiet and listened I heard a faintest Siri voice. I have no too loud notices in lash 6 months and this just started happening. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. If the volume of the notification announcement isn't as loud as expected, we would suggest trying a few basic troubleshooting steps to begin. They often can help resolve a variety of issues on their own, and even if they don't resolve the issue will help us isolate the issue further. Try each of the steps in order, testing between them:


  1. Restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Make sure the iOS software on your iPhone is up-to-date: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. This will also ensure the AirPods have the latest firmware.
  3. Reset your AirPods: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support, then set them up again: Connect your AirPods and AirPods Pro to your iPhone - Apple Support
