Hey there cihat180,

To help with making and answering calls on your AirPods, try the steps below:

1. Wear your AirPods Pro, and make sure they’re connected to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch (with cellular or Wi-Fi).
2. Do one of the following:
• Make a call: On an iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular models), say “Hey Siri,” then say something like “Call Eliza’s mobile.” On an iPad with Wi-Fi only, say something like “Make a FaceTime call.”
You can also set either of your AirPods Pro to activate Siri when you press and hold the indent on the stem.
• Answer or end a call: Press the indent on the stem on either of your AirPods.
Note: If you turn on announce calls, you can also answer or decline a call using your voice.

If you're still unable to make or receive calls with your AirPods, try resetting them next:

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Open the lid of your charging case, and put your AirPods in your ears.
4. Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].
• If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
• If your AirPods don't appear there, continue to the next step.
5. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and keep the lid open.
6. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps on your device's screen.

cihat180,

Thanks for following up with us. It sounds like the issue occurs when you're receiving a call while other audio has been playing, correct?

We would advise to ensure that your iPhone software and AirPods firmware is up to date. These updates often contain bug fixes that may address this behavior. You must update the iPhone first to allow for the AirPods firmware to be updated:

When you're on a call, see if this helps: While on a call on iPhone - Apple Support

"Adjust the audio during a call

To change the volume, press the volume buttons on the side of iPhone. Or swipe down on the call banner, then do any of the following:

  • Mute: Tap the mute button.
  • Put the call on hold: Touch and hold the mute button.
  • Talk handsfree: Tap the audio button, then choose an audio destination."

Based on the above, try tapping the speaker icon when you're on a call. Are you able to switch audio sources? What happens when you try that?

Best wishes.

Hi.

both phone and AirPods’s firmwares up to date.

problem did not occur while I am listening to music. When i had an outgoing phone call then finish the call, AirPods is still in my ears and at the same time i receive another call, i try to answer but no sound is received.

mute, on hold, hands free options does not work because AirPods has been seen as connected to phone. I have iPhone XS. The problem that i have, not has been seen with my wife’s iPhone 11. It works properly. In Türkiye I had gone apple service they couldn’t solve the problem. I have also AirPods Pro 1 gen. I never faced with such a problem. It still works great. I think AirPods Pro 2 has problem with iPhone XS.
