Bluetooth keeps disconnecting on Apple music for android

I'm using Apple Music on my android phone (Redmi Note 10), and for some reason all my Bluetooth devices keep disconnecting when I change the song or when a song has ended and a new song is starting.


I've found a thread noting the same issue and tried all the suggestions:

- reinstalling the app

- clearing the cache

- restarting my phone

- resetting the speaker itself and the Bluetooth settings on my phone

- force stopping the app

- disabling battery saver settings


None of those work, and on top of that Spotify and all other apps using the speaker run just fine.


The only workaround I've found is downloading the songs before playing them but that is hardly a permanent fix.


Please take a look at this issue, I'd hate to switch off this app because other than that it's pretty great.

Hello, I am using a Xiaomi Note 9T, and since upgrading to MIUI 12.5.3, my Apple Music cuts out the bluetooth connection consistently after 5-10 minutes, and when switching songs. This only occurs with Apple Music on Android, and did not occur with me at least until the upgrade. It;s still present in MIUI 13.0.4 (Global Rom). I tried the generic solutions, even rooted and disabled MusicFX, but no dice. What did work for me was:

  1. Go to Settings => Apps => Manage Apps
  2. Find Apple Music
  3. Enable Autostart
  4. change Battery Saver to "No Restrictions"

I also enabled "Install Apps from Unknown Sources", but doubt that this had anything to do with it. After about a day and multiple tests on multiple bluetooth speakers, everything seems to work as it should.

You have tried some great troubleshooting here and exactly what we would have advised. From what you have described, it does seem isolated to the Apple Music app. Next, make sure the Android is completely updated as well as the Apple Music app, and then take a deeper dive with Apple Support.
