lightning to hdmi no longer works after 16.1.1 update. says firmware update needed

If this continues after restarting both devices, then let's narrow this down further to isolate what's causing this to occur. Follow these steps next in order to do so:

2. Remove any additional extension cables, converters or other adapters between the display and iOS device
3. Test all ports on the display (if multiple are available)
4. Try with multiple apps to isolate to a specific app

I got mine to work! Did the latest update and still didn’t work, but when it was plugged in at the top left there is a blue hdmi icon and I pressed that and it came on! Have disconnected and plugged in again and still working.. so maybe there is some hope !!
