iPhone 13Pro doesn't charge after update to ios16

A couple of months ago, when ios 16 was released, my wife and me updated our iPhones. Both of us have iPhone 13pro. And both of us ecountered the same problem: the original Apple charger doesn't charge iPhone sometimes. It doesn't depend on any condition - just sometimes device is being charged, and sometimes not.

We have tried 2 different chargers (both are original), and different cables - the situation is the same on both devices with both chargers with any cable.

Moreover, when the cable is plugged, iphone vibrates normally and displays start of charging process (lightning symbol appears). You may leave the device like that, being absolutely confident that charging has started, but discover your phone in couple of hours with the same charging percentage as you left it earlier.

Also we tried charging iPads with these chargers - and they charge normally!

I thought this is a software problem, but a couple of ios updates later nothing has changed.

If you updated to iOS 16 by using your Wi-Fi, you should try to restore your phone to factory settings, using your computer. This will download a complete new iOS version onto your computer and install it afterwards.

Set it up "as a new device" to rule out any faulty data from the backup.

Then test charging the phone again. If it works as expected, use the backup to restore your data.

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to factory settings

Did you try to disable "Optimized Battery Charging" in Settings/Battery/Battery Health, and see if this makes a difference?

I've tried - iPhone still doesn't charge

Can you try, if your iPhone can be charged wirelessly by using a MagSafe adapter?

I have no wireless adapter

Are you using the 20W Apple adapter to charge your iPhones?

Yes, as I mentioned above - we've tried 2 chargers, - both are 20W Apple original adapters
