i cant turn off apple watch. when I press side button, Siri comes on. how do I turn it off. I need to reboot because some other functions are not working

when i try to turn watch off, siri comes on. I want to power down watch because a few functions have frozen and are not working. I try to turn off by pressing and holding side button.

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 6

To force restart your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
