Software Update Notification Red Badge On Settings Icon

Hello;

I don't want to update my Monterey to Ventura just yet.

But the red badge icon on the settings is driving me crazy.

Is there a way to eliminate that red icon?

I have M1 MacBook Pro, and Mac studio. For some reason Mac studio doesn't show that red badge.

But MacBook Pro does. Can I Remove it somehow.

Phantom Notification Badge on System Setting after upgrade to Ventura My daughter's computer has a notification badge showing in her computer's dock on the System Settings application. When you click it, it does not lead to anything that needs attention or requires action. Her computer is fully updated with all software and this only occurred immediately after Ventura was installed and booted for the first time. We've looked at virtually everything in the System Settings menu for some actionable thing to respond to and can find nothing at all. Any guidance on dealing with this would be greatly appreciated.

Can't see notification banners after update to mac os Ventura On mac os Monterey I was able to see notification banners. But since I updated to Ventura I've not seen a single banner. I tried everything suggested by the Apple advisor: played with notification settings, entered safe mode, removed login items and reinstalled mac os. But I still can't see banners. I can hear a sound, can see dock icon bouncing, but no pop-up banners. What else can I do?

Hey there NynÇkr,

While the badge may go away if you delete the new macOS upgrade(it may or may not be already downloaded waiting to install), this is only a guess.
