Fan / battery issue / 2.3GHz 8-core Intel Core i9

Macbook pro, 2.3GHz 8-core Intel Core i9, 2019

Right from the start I had issues with the fan and battery life. It's shorter than my old Macbook (over 10 years old). I was with Apple, they always said everything was fine and I was sent away. I've rebooted the entire computer - to no avail.

Now I can't even watch a 90-minute film without the fan constantly running and the battery being completely empty.

I've heard from several sources that it's the processor and the case - so the problem is with the macbook! What can I do to fix this? Or does Apple leave me completely alone? The problem seems to be known. I am really angry.

Run EtreCheck and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper.

Try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected. If you had Apple examine the laptop, then I imagine it already passed their MRI service diagnostic.

You can try an SMC Reset, but make sure to read the instructions carefully since the procedure has changed for the 2018 - 2020 models.

Also, try disconnecting all external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.
