Airpods Pro 2 won't stop charging in their case even after 100% battery.

I just got airpods pro second generation and they have been amazing except for one thing. They keep charging and depleting the case’s battery despite being at 100%.

Example: I charged my airpods case in the afternoon and they were at 50% and my airpods were at 93% while in the case. I went about my day with out using them and in the evening the case was at 7% while the airpods were still charging despite being 100%.
