14 Pro Max Order Stuck on Processing

My dad had placed an order for a iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB Purple, and this was done on September 20th, with an arrival time of Oct 26-Nov 1, it is been over a month and the order status is stuck on processing, I understand there is supply issues going on around the globe but this phone is being gifted to someone early November. My dad even called Apple support and was left with "it will process whenever the warehouse processes it". I am truly disappointed that Apple isn't communicating as it should for those buyers who are spending money on these products. I would really love to hear answers on when can we expect the phone to be delivered or just even see the status move from 'Processing' to 'Preparing to Ship'.

This would be considered normal. As the anticipated arrival date nears, the status will change to preparing to ship, then to shipped. At that time Apple will send you an email with an updated arrival date and tracking information.

That is because the phone hadn't been built yet. They do not provide updates as to where it is on the assembly line, etc., I don't know of any company that does. As was said it goes from Processing to preparing to ship to shipping. And in the last 3 orders I did it skipped the preparing to ship phase and I just got the shipping notice.
