Why is there no warning when mouse or keypad battery is low?

I can't believe that there's no warning when the mouse or keypad battery is low. Yes, I can click on the Bluetooth icon on the menu bar, BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT!!!

Apple should have an alarm that warns you when mouse battery is low. If there is a way to set one up, I haven't found it.

Thanks for the replies but I get NO warning... never have. How do you set it up to warn you? I've looked but can't find a setting for that.

Define low. Currently, Apple sets the low battery notification threshold at 2%. So If you recharge your devices above that level, you will never see the notification.

If I see my wireless extended keyboard starting to get below 50% I will connect a cable to it while I am working to recharge it. And my Apple Magic Mouse will get charged either overnight, or while I am not in the house, so I never reach these notification issues.

No one from Apple is present to address why these levels are so low, and if you let your devices get this low, you will receive a notification.
