My mother is 88 year old and I need to get her an ipad. She likes to play Casino games and watch movies for the most part. What is the processing speed I need for her to run her games without freezing. I am looking at a refurbished 7th generation ipad with wi-fi. 128 gigs.

For the described uses, all recent/current models of iPad will be perfectly adequate - but beware of choosing a model with too little internal storage. If streaming content from the internet, internal storage is less important; by contrast, if downloading material to watch offline, or to install a number of Apps, available local storage is a much bigger consideration.

Thank you for the response. The ipad I am looking at is a 2019 model. It is refurbished from apple. It has 128GB, I am assuming from your response this would work? have to claim ignorance when it comes to this technology. I appreciate you taking the time to help me
Yes. The iPad7 is capable of running iPadOS15 (and iPadOS16.x when released - anticipated later this month). If you consider 128GB internal storage as adequate for your anticipated needs, you should not encounter difficulties.
