Ipad mini2 apps no longer working.

I have an old ipad mini 2 with 16GB of internal space. Apps are no longer supported, because the latest os is 12.5, and they request 13-15 minimum.

I use the ipad for a few very light, non-resource intensive apps, still have about 8GB of internal space available, but these apps no longer support the os.

I was hoping that there would be an update available for the mini 2. I don't need the latest updates. Just one that will allow me to continue using my favorite apps, without having to shell out $150+ for another second hand tablet.

Besides, it's such a waste to have to throw away the mini2. It's still working well.
