My iPhone keeps telling me it’s low on disk space yet I have more than 40GB unused iCloud space. I’ve set my photos on optimized space.

Do not confuse iPhone internal storage with iCloud storage, as per this support article:--> What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage?
Check your iPhone internal storage and make room, if needed.
