When will Apple Photos support the new Panasonic Lumix GH6 camera?

I can't view or edit RAW image file in Photos from my Lumix GH6, and I'm also having an issue with Final Cut Pro giving me an error "modified file" when trying to import video files directly from Photos, even though when in the Photos app I can view the files just fine... I assume this might be because this camera is not yet on the supported camera list, and there needs to be some updates?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.4

Hi

Apple is not quick to update for new cameras. Worse, they don't communicate any sort of roadmap or timeline. It is not even possible to say if they will support a particular camera.

Often a new tranche of camera support comes with a new MacOS version, so there is a possibility it might come with Ventura. Not guaranteed though.

Your only options are:

* to wait - and if you like convert your raw files to DNG raw format using Adobe's free converter, which you should then be able to use in photos.

* Or... use software which does support your camera.

Sorry I can't provide more positive information.
