Contact Images in family sharing

My wife and I have 3 kids all with Apple devices of some kind and all in family sharing with our own individual Apple ID's. For some reason anytime I change my image for my apple id it attaches to my wife's contact and thus changing her image to mine. When I look in family sharing it shows her image as mine and then my image as the same image but skewed a little. I am forced to have my apple id image be her so that it shows on her contact correctly. Which is annoying. I have verified that we have the right apple id's on each device and contact AND that we have the correct phone numbers associated as well for both the contacts and the apple ids per device. I am lost as to why this is happening. Anyone know a fix?

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with incorrect contact information in Family Sharing. Try these steps to see if they resolve the issue:


  1. Open Contacts app
  2. Locate your "My Card"
  3. Correct all information
  4. Check other devices and/or iCloud.com to ensure the contact info has synced to iCloud
  5. Ensure that the name is now correct in settings


Then:


  1. Open the Contacts app
  2. Locate any/all Contact Cards that include info of affected family member(s)
  3. Correct all information within the related Contact Card(s)
  4. Check other devices and/or iCloud.com to ensure the contact info has synced to iCloud
  5. Ensure that the name is now correct in settings
