How do you connect the AirPods Pro 2 case to Find My? Only my AirPods are showing up.

I connected my AirPods Pro 2 to my iPhone 14 Pro today and added it to my Devices in Find My. However, only the AirPods themselves are showing up in my device list. The case is not showing up, even if I select the AirPods.

I tried tapping the + and Add Other Item, but it does not discover the case. I tried with the lid open and closed. I tried with the AirPods in and out of the case. Tried rebooting my phone.

How do you connect the case to Find My?
