My husband's computer gave a security warning and said to call ****. What should he do? Is this a scam

Yes this is a "scam." He should refer to Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams.

Apple Security Warning (supposedly) I have received a message ostensibly from Apple Security Center telling me that my computer (I am using an IPad!) has bee blocked.
