Apple Security Warning (supposedly)

I have received a message ostensibly from Apple Security Center telling me that my computer (I am using an IPad!) has bee blocked. I am told to not try to try to shut down the computer but call 1-866-651-****. Is this a legitimate Apple warning and number? Thanks.

Its a scam. Apple will never contact you to inform you of an account or device lockout.

Don’t respond to, or engage with, the message. Certainly do not, under any circumstances, attempt to contact anyone using the contact details that may have been provided.

Alerts of this nature are designed to scare the unwary into giving away sensitive information - or to fool you into doing something that you shouldn’t - usually to defraud you financially.

I tried calling back 3 times this I said screw This" I rebutted my computer search and find it's a "SCAM" People beware so many Evil Criminal Predators that try and scam. Stop calling. It's a scam. There is nothing wrong with your phone.

That is not a real Apple number.
