I've had my Airpod Pro for 2 days and they disconnect

At least 4 times a day while sitting within 3 feet of the computer or iPhone 12. It has disconnected on both devices.

It first gets a lot of static and then the volume fades out. I have to disconnect the airpods pro and then reconnect to fix it.

My Airpod Pro1 have never done this unless I am to far away from the device.

Any help out there?

Hi jimbianchi63,

You started from a great resource. If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted

For help with connecting to multiple device, check the steps in the section "Turn off automatic switching" found in the article here: Switch your AirPods to another device

If the issue continues, reset your AirPods Pro and test. How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

"You might need to reset your AirPods if they won't charge, or to fix a different issue.

  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Open the lid of your charging case.
  4. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, or Settings > [your AirPods], and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth or in Settings > [your AirPods], just go to the next step.
  5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
  6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
  7. AirPods charging cases
  8. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen."

If the issue remains, follow the steps here: If your AirPods Pro make crackling or static sounds

Cheers.

They are absolutely useless to me right now. Incredibly poor. I have gone on three long runs now and have to carry the case with me. They will do 1 of 3 things about every 10 minutes or so.

  1. Totally disconnect (have to put back in case, wait a few seconds, put them back in ear)
  2. One of the two, left or right will go out. (Same solution as above)
  3. The other one will go out like #2 (same solution)

Bottom line, the only function of wireless buds is to stream music and I can’t even get them to do it reliably.
