Why is iPhone 14 pro max taking so long to ship out

i preordered my iPhone 14 pro max on September 13th why is it taking so long to ship? I check the AT&T tracking and it says it’s expected to ship at the end of October…

Yeah but I got my new apple watch ultra yesterday, yet it was originally estimated to ship on November 11th. Yet my phone was supposed to ship yesterday and still hasn't.
