My mac (2011 model) is currently running 10.13.6 and evidently it cannot upgrade to mojave or any other OS. I don't really care about that, but I would like to have Garageband, and I haven't been able to find a version that is supported by this OS. How can I get a Garageband that works with this version?

I had it, and I'm fairly certain that I had a version of the OS beyond High Sierra, but last summer somebody completely wiped my machine and I had to restart at Lion
No backups from that time period?
nope. i inherited the computer when my mom got a new one.
You still should be able to download GarageBand from App Store if you purchased.
