CAF file

I received a voice text msg in a CAF file. I want to convert it to an MP3 file to send in an email or attach to a document. How can I do this on my iPad, iPhone or Mac?

How to download music file from Messages on iPhone? I have multiple audio files from messages that I would like to download onto my iPhone, however when I click save on the file nothing happens. Whenever I click on contact info and scroll down to the documents page, there is a button to "save to files" and when doing so it saves the file as "data" instead of an audio file. Why are mp3 files converting to .amr Why are mp3 files converting to .amr when texted to Android users? (They also sound horrible when received on the other end.) Problem is the same whether text is sent from laptop or iPhone. Have never had this issue before. My phone carrier claims nothing unusual is happening on their network.

You can convert a CAF file to an MP3 with VLC.
