I can not connect to my FaceTime account

using VMware workstation and I can not connect to my apple account

Unable to sign in to iMessage and FaceTime on MacOS I am able to use imessage and facetime on my iphone but unable to sign in on my apple silicon m2 macbook pro macOS 14.2 I get an error saying "An unknown error occurred." on the imessage login window and nothing on facetime. I am able to login to icloud on the browser just fine with the same credentials.

I cannot log into FaceTime. When I put my correct information eg my Apple ID and my Apple ID password to login to FaceTime, when I press enter it reloads me back to the homepage. It also highlights my Apple ID username in a blue box as if I were to copy and paste something. Please help Apple.

Can you connect if you turn off the VM workstation? Is the software blocking the ports?
