I've tried all previous suggestions to get my side preview panel to "pop" open when I move my curser to the left, but I still can't get it to appear. I just updated to Catalina 10.15.7. I want to see a preview of my emails before opening them. I used to be able to, but now it's gone.

Okay I found the issue. I had "Always" set for "Show scroll bars:" in System Preferences > General. As soon as I switched it to "When scrolling", the left pointing cursor was available again and I could drag open the side preview.

Thanks for your response. It's so frustrating. I just reread the old suggestions and tried resizing the email panel again. I had to wait for something to happen and it finally showed the side preview panel. I have no idea why it suddenly worked.
Just checked my install of Catalina 10.15.7. The bottom preview still works but the side preview no longer works for me.
You're welcome. That's interesting. I guess I'll have to boot up Catalina again and see if It will work again for me.
