how to recover my gmail emails . they disappeared from the folders on my gmail account on the phone. i have been told it’s probably the settings , but i haven’t touched them? i was reading an email when it happened . please help

should i do what you just told me …erase the account , restart and put it back on ? because i checked in all my MAC devices and it’s the same .all deleted
i did. but they don’t show up there neither . i haven’t done it in PC ,..should I?

Are you using Apple Mail app or Google Gmail app?
Should be the former, try to delete your gmail account on your iPhone, restart your device, then re-add your email account and wait for it to repopulate.
Should be the latter, contact Google Gmail support team and ask them.

Please log in to a web browser and check the folder in the Gmail account. There you have it.
So it is not deleted from your iPhone.
