I am familiar with the yellow, red and (formerly) green traffic indicators, but just today, I’ve seen a dark grey/black shaded road and a dark red colored road. I’m assuming these are somehow worse traffic than bright red - even though that normally is equivalent to a standstill - but I can’t find any record of these traffic colors does anyone know what they mean?

I just looked that section up on Maps on my MacBook Air. If you follow the road to the east further, you will see a Minus icon. That would appear to say that the road is temporarily closed. If you bring the mouse over the minus sign, it shows the road closed.

Red indicates stop and go traffic, so I assume that dark red is a closed road which means complete standstill for a prolonged period of time. But this is a guess, because I cannot find anything about this color specific
