FACE ID and slow passcode problem

Hi,

I'm using a IPHONE13 MAX. The face ID works ok but sometimes when I'm wearing a mask or sunglasses or when I am outside in the sun, the FACE ID does not work. That's ok - I understand the problems with FACE ID recognition.

The problem is the IPHONE13 continues to try and use FACE ID for a few more minutes rather than reverting to the PASSCODE option. The FACE ID just blinks uselessly.

I'm swiping the screen and its annoying af that it takes so long to get to the PASSCODE option.

Is there an option to enable the PASSCODE option to turn on immediately once FACEID does not work?

No, but you can disable Face ID entirely. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Reset Face ID

Probably you are still not on iOS 15.4

You can unlock while wearing a fece mask. Use Face ID while wearing a mask with iPhone 12 and later
