I don't see "Link Keyboard and Mouse section" and universal control is not working.

I have all system requirements and did all the settings mentioned in Universal Control: Use a single keyboard and mouse between Mac and iPad - Apple Support, but I don't see the "Link Keyboard and Mouse section," and universal control is not working. I only see "Mirror or extend to" option.

Universal Control: "Link Keyboard and Mouse" option no appearing. Only "Mirror or extend to:" option appears in control center and settings. Currently using an iPad mini 5th generation running iPadOS 16.6 and MacBook Pro 2018 13" running Ventura 13.5. Cannot share keyboard and mouse between iPad and MacBook. Mirroring and extending display to iPad work and is the only option available. Setting are correct under Universal Controls. I did see some posts about similar issues, but didn't see any solutions. I've restarted etc, but no joy. Has anyone encountered or fixed this? (referred to this link: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253920310)

Universal Control not Working. "add display" and "linked keyboard and mouse" options are not visible on MacBook Pro OS Sonoma I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING I'm trying to connect my Macbook Pro to my iPad Pro to use Universal Control and, it is not working. there is no 'plus icon' in the display settings to add a screen when I use a cord to hook up both devices, the plus icon appears but can only be used as an extended display or mirror display (that is not what I want) there is no option to use the iPad as a "linked keyboard and mouse." (even with the cord) I have rebooted, restarted, put devices to sleep, logged out of iCloud, used the option key, put on and off the required settings etc. and NOTHING. HELP! Universal Control Constant problems. I have 2 Macs and an iPad. Sometimes it works as advertised. Sometimes moving the mouse from screen to screen and clicking leaves the keyboard controlling the previous screen. Sometimes the 2 slave devices simply disappear from the display settings of the primary device. Suspending/resuming the primary fixes it. Sometimes the mouse just stops on one of the slave devices. Suspending that device and resuming usually fixes it. Have run wifi diagnostics, and it detects no issues while this is going on. Would be really nice if this "just worked".
