No text alerts with Resound One Hearing Aids

Just got Resound One hearing aids. I no longer get an audio alert for my text messages when not wearing my hearing aids. Very frustrating!!

I also wear Oticon More with firmware 1.3.0 and after the last iOS update I had to do the following to get my text message sound to my aid (a little bit of a process):

Go to Settings/Acessibility/Hearing/Hearing Devices/MFi Hearing Devices and do a Forget This Device

Go to Settings/General/Shutdown

Turn off your dad's hearing aids (place them in charger or press the switch on the hearing aids)

Turn on the iPhone

Go to Settings General/Transfer or Rest iPhone/Reset/Reset Network Settings

The iPhone will boot

Go to Settings Accessibility/Hearing/Hearing Devices/ and make sure your dad's hearing do not show up

If they show up do a Forget this Device again

If they do not show then power his hearing aids up and pair them again

Now turn on Play Ringtones and Play System Sounds

This a long pain but it now works for me.

Forgot to tell you that he will have to enter any passwords to get back in to any wifi networks he has been using.

i am working on my father’s device and although he is able to get calls through his hearing aids, he is not getting text alerts like he used to get. I have done Settings>Accessibility>Hearing Devices>Play Ringtones, as well as Play System Sounds is on. I have also changed his text alert tone to a longer one to be sure he is not missing it. Also, I have updated his software. He has Oticon hearing aids.
