Call forwarding

We use an iPhone SE for my business and we forward calls to another phone of an employee from time to time. Today we forwarded the calls to his phone and in the middle of them being forwarded the call forwarding logo at the top disappeared but the calls are still being forwarded to his phone. When I go into the call forward settings it won’t get past the spinning circle and I’ve tried resetting the phone probably 15 times and hard reset it once but I can’t get the calls to stop forwarding. He has reset his phone on his end as well and still nothing.
