How can I disable/remove DVD Player from my Mac mini? I wish to use VLC with my external USB DVD Drive but DVD Player autoplays and reopens and autoplays again and again after quitting… it’s iNsAnItY.

Another way is to open System Preferences->CDs & DVDs->"When you insert a video DVD”->”Open other application...” and set VLC as the application. This will cover all types of video DVDs that you insert.

When the DVD is mounted on your desktop do a Get Info on it and in the Info window change the default application to VLC.
You probably have the DVD app set to loop in its preferences. The app itself is part of the OS and cannot be removed.
