How do I stop the app "DVD Player" from launching automatically when inserting a DVD?

My iMac is running OS 12.4

I never saw this app until very recently. Don't know how long it has been on board. I would like to get rid of it completely but that is n to possible I'm sure. But, how do I stop it from interfering every time I insert a DVD? I read a post about this from 2019 I think, but it was just gibberish. I don't know how to "select" the app once it's running. All I can do is hit Quit and try again.
