Can’t get Apple USB SuperDrive to work.

I have a MacBook Retina 12” early2015. I have just bought the Apple USB SuperDrive but I have the window ‘Accessory needs power.’ I have connected it via the Apple USB C to USB adapter and also tried my usual multi port adapter to no avail. Help.

MacBook, macOS 11.6

Hi. Thanks so much for getting back so promptly! But I’m ok now! I remembered that I had put my Mac to sleep and plugged in the SuperDrive from reawaken instead of from off to on. It’s working now! 🤦‍♂️
